Carole Conn is a woman with a zest for life. She came to me because her job as a case manager was sapping her energy. It required extensive travel and ongoing billing for clients. She knew she had to make a change.
We both realized she faced age discrimination but we never let that become a fixed reality. Carole soaked up every bit of the Life-Work Discovery process and applied it to her search. We looked at all of her options and determined what would be the best fit for her. Carole took leadership of her campaign and did the “heavy lifting.” Her hard work and dedication paid off. She landed the perfect job for her. Read her story. Wisdom, experience and perseverance will overcome stereotypes about aging!
I came to Neal and Future Design Studio, after working as a rehabilitation nurse case manager, for many years. I was very competent and respected, in my field. However, I was burned out with the great amount of travel required and the tedious billing/bonus requirements. Neal enabled me to see that I have skills transferable to a new position. He supported me through my many doubts and fears regarding making a change. He also provided me with enriching ideas that I could use, in a practical way on my path, toward a new part of my life.
I found a position as a Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Coordinator withSenior Life of Pennsylvania. This is an organization that enables senior persons to remain in their homes and community, rather than going to nursing homes or hospitals. This is work that I feel very passionate about. It was an area to which I have been attracted for awhile, but just had not found the way there. One of the things Neal helped with was teaching me how to reach the decision makers at prospective employers during my job search. He also helped me to understand myself and my own life needs more fully.
