Summer's Ending — Time to Renew Your Job Search Campaign

September 2, 2009 Leave a Comment Written by Neal Griebling

Traditionally many job seekers have taken a summer sabbatical from their campaigns. The rationale was that the market shut down for vacations and other summer time activities. Executives simmply suspended hiring until the approach of fall. I never agreed with that argument. In times past, perhaps the number of job postings decreased; however, the hidden job market could still be plucked for prime jobs if one knew how to go about it.

Well Labor Day approaches and, if you suspended your search, it’s time to resume with a vengeance. While the Great Recession is still with us, market indicators seem to indicate that the economy is beginning to turn around. The public job marketplace has fewer offerings,  but the hidden job market remains vibrant. How can I help you move forward? Please contact me for a free, no obligation session to find out.
