You, Your Fears & The Pittsburgh Job Market

December 27, 2008 Leave a Comment Written by Neal Griebling

My message today is directed to those individuals who have lost their jobs or are worried about losing their jobs. The theme is fear and resistance and how you might cope with these very human emotions.

These are extraordinary times and even the so-called economic gurus admit they are not sure how things will play out. It is natural to feel stress, anxiety, and fear in such an enviroment. Our fear also generates paralysis and resistance to taking any sot of action. We are prone to hunker down, do nothing and wait for conditions to improve. However, we cannot allow our fears and resistance to drive our career bus. Tomorrow we will examine how you can address your fears and turn them into pathways to success.
